Object
A natural Dark Blue Sapphire, set by hand in sculpted polished brass to accentuate its deep midnight-blue hues and distinct natural iron spots. The frontal side of the mineral has been selectively polished to highlight its natural luster, while the back remains entirely raw. Iron inclusions create a rustic texture across its crystallographic structure, ensuring no two specimens possess naturally identical patterns or depth.
The brass setting is individually sculpted around the stone, allowing the mineral to remain the focal point of the object rather than enclosing it in a conventional jewellery setting.
Each AOB Artefact is made by hand and exists as a singular object.
Symbolism
Dark Blue Sapphire has traditionally been associated with mental clarity, inner discipline and grounding. In crystal traditions, the combination of sapphire with iron matrix is regarded as an energetic shield, symbolising emotional stability, protection and deep focus.
