Object
A natural deep blue Lapis Lazuli, set by hand in sculpted polished brass to accentuate its hand-polished front and golden pyrite inclusions. Composed primarily of rich blue lazurite accented by natural flecks of pyrite, the mineral displays a striking starry contrast across its surface. No two specimens possess naturally identical patterns or distributions of golden inclusions.
The brass setting is individually sculpted around the stone, allowing the mineral to remain the focal point of the object rather than enclosing it in a conventional jewellery setting.
Each AOB Artefact is made by hand and exists as a singular object.
Symbolism
Lapis Lazuli has traditionally been associated with royalty, wisdom and truth. In crystal traditions, it is regarded as a stone of the higher mind, symbolising deep self-awareness, intellectual clarity and authentic inner expression.
