ALPINUM creates a temporary shift away from the speed, noise and abstraction of contemporary life.

Set in the Tyrolean Alps - a landscape I have been exploring for years - the very first field edition of Archive of Beauty brings together a small group of women for several days of shared walks, conversations, material studies, photography and sensory immersion within a living mountain environment.

The edition moves through how landscape influences emotion, clarity, memory and aesthetic awareness: creating space for reflection, creative reorientation and deeper connection to both oneself and others.

We will travel through the urban alpine experience at a design hotel in Innsbruck (first night) and then move into the mountains where we’ll stay at an Alpenhütte: raw, atmospheric, shared with the life already happening there. There is an element of unpredictability I have deliberately kept, the right amount of guidance and accident.

Coming from luxury hospitality and design, I have become increasingly interested in the tension between highly constructed aesthetic environments and the raw coherence of the natural world.

ALPINUM moves between both: beginning in the urban alpine atmosphere of Innsbruck before entering the mountains themselves. Not to reject design, but to reconnect it to something more physical, sensory and real.

We do not need more polished surfaces detached from lived experience, but environments that restore attention, presence and connection to the world around us.
