The Artifact: Atelier Nallik

The Story

Long before launching Archive of Beauty, I founded Atelier Nallik in New York City in 2011 and later moved it to Berlin. Driven by a desire to create tangible, profound objects from natural minerals, the label focused on limited editions and bespoke, one-of-a-kind necklaces. True to its name - derived from the Inuit concept meaning nurturant affection and a core value of care - Atelier Nallik grew into an internationally celebrated brand, distributing to over 45 elite concept stores and luxury destinations worldwide, including Clic Gallery in NYC and St.Barth, Merci in Paris, Four Seasons Hong Kong, Galleries Lafayette, Anthropologie, Steven Alan NY.

Featured in global publications like Vogue Germany, ELLE, Financial Times HTSI, Harper’s Bazaar, and more, Atelier Nallik became recognized for its distinct editorial aesthetic: the deliberate balance between highly refined craft and the untamed, raw structure of nature.

At the core of the brand are timeless designs featuring untreated gemstones - such as sapphire, ruby, tourmaline, or aquamarine - that I personally found, bought by piece, or sourced from all over the world, and then set in gold, silver, or brass.

From working with traditional goldsmiths in Jaipur, India, or Istanbul, Turkey, to entering mines alongside locals in Namibia, each piece carries a story of transparency, adventure, and fair trade. In fact, I am mostly interested in the stones “that are cast aside” in the traditional gem trade because they are not considered AA quality. I always loved the little tiny mistakes, irregularities and inclusions that make a piece truly unique.

Your pendant piece will not be handed to you on the mountain. Instead, it will be custom-crafted following our journey and mailed via post directly to your home after the retreat. It serves as a permanent, physical anchor - a wearable artifact of the raw clarity, deep transitions, and strategic vision you solidified at over 1,800 meters.

Atelier Nallik was resting since 2020 and now is re-emerging as artefacts of Archive of Beauty.

The raw beauty of unsculpted elements.
